Retrofit & Upgrades

Solar panels use photovoltaic (PV) cells to convert daylight (not just direct sunlight) into electricity. This powers your home, reducing dependency on the grid. Excess energy can be stored in a battery, heat your hot water, or charge an EV.

Savings depend on your system size and usage, but Irish homeowners typically see at least a 30% reduction in electricity bills. Many solar panel systems achieve a Return on Investment (ROI) in 4-6 years, offering free electricity for decades after.

Most Irish roofs are suitable for solar panels as long as they are in good condition. We can install on almost any roof structure. Our on-site survey will confirm suitability before any work begins.

The SEAI grant offers up to €1,800 for residential solar panel systems (for 4kWp and above) also a solar battery grant of €600. There is also a grant of up to €300 for EV chargers. We handle the paperwork for you.

This depends on your consumption and roof space. We analyse your bills to design a solar panel system that fits your actual needs, ensuring you don't overpay for a system that's too big. We also future-proof designs for later expansion by using a hybrid inverter you can add a battery later.

Irish planning laws changed so you don't need permission for rooftop solar panels unless you live in specific zones like air traffic control areas or protected structures.

It helps you use more of the power your solar panels generate (self-consumption) rather than sending it to the grid. It also allows 'Time of Use' charging filling the battery with cheap night-rate electricity to use during expensive peak hours. We will take everything into consideration when deciding if you need a battery.

Typical solar panel installations for Irish homes take just 1-2 days. External roof work and internal electrical work are usually done simultaneously to minimise disruption.

The cost of solar panels in Ireland can vary depending on the size of the installation and the type of panels being used. On average, you can expect to pay between €5,000 and €10,000 for a typical residential solar panel installation. For Commercial please contact us for a custom quotation.

Solar panels are built to last for many years, with most panels having a lifespan of 25-30 years.
